Baffling 511B

Would baffle mounting the 511B improve the performance of an A7-500 system which is fitted with 'wings'.

Not required, but it sure won't hurt a thing. Flange mounting the 511 to some mass will damp the ringing a bit. The space above the wings and box front is unusable for anything else anyway, so if material's not a concern, add a full-width, one-piece top "wing" with a notch for the 511 and take it clear to the ceiling, or at least as high as one wing width. Just an extra sheet of ply ripped down the middle and a few more 2xs...might keep visiting swagmen from tossing their empties behind the wings...

Good idea. I can even attach the cross-talk divider to the baffle. Problem is that the empties look untidy up front.

Works for me. The divider/baffle will benefit from the cross bracing. Just make sure the divider will accomodate an oddly shaped head if you want me to come over...
